Vintage Japanese Kimono Haori Jacket Meisen. We guess this haori was in the 1950s or earlier. There may be aging of the fabric, light dirt and small spots, but please enjoy the taste of the antique. Meisen is a type of ikat casual kimono that was widely popular from early to mid 1900s in Japan.
Now, since it is hardly produced, vintage kimonos and haori are rare items. Meisen was made with a unique technique called hogushi ori. The wrap is loosely weaved, printed with stencil patterns, taken apart, then woven into a fabric with fresh weft. You do not pay until you get the the invoice from me.
